Self-styled NRM General Miguna Miguna has finally abandoned his journey to Kenya after a long wait for the Kenyan state officials to comply with court orders proved infertile. The General, who is also a lawyer, sounded broken but resilient when announcing the move in a post on his official Facebook page.
“Having waited for Despot Uhuru Kenyatta and his appointees at the ministries of Interior and Immigration to obey court orders and revoke their illegal “red alerts” to no avail, I’ve no option but to return to exile in Canada. I’ll not surrender. The struggle continues”, wrote Miguna.
The Canadian barrister went ahead to outline the deep emotional hurt that he will have to endure for being unable to attend his father-in-law’s burial ceremony planned for tomorrow January 22 in Migori County.
“I intended to attend the funeral of my father-in-law who is being buried tomorrow, January 22, 2020, in Migori, Kenya, however, Despot Uhuru Kenyatta and his conman enabler Raila Odinga have – out of cowardice and abuse of power – prevented me from doing so. Rest In Peace Mzee Omolo Awange”, read the last part of the emotional post.
Miguna has been in forced exile to Canada since 2017 when the Kenyan government buddled him out of the country on claims that he has ceased being a Kenyan citizen by taking up Canadian citizenship. The fiery lawyer has ever since been battling in courts to reclaim his freedom to come back to Kenya.
